1. Tell us a little about yourself and what you do.
Well my name is Leondra. I'm 19 years old and live where you vacation (Miami)! I'm attending Miami Dade College Wolfson campus and plan on transferring to FSU where I will study Mass communications. I live for fashion! I've interned a lot to gain my experience. I just finished interning for the Miami Fashion Film Festival this weekend where I met great Fashion Bloggers such as Electric Blogarella & Nikki Novo! I like to style myself and blog my different looks. I also enjoy styling other people because I want to be a fashion stylist.
2. What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion to means finding or creating your own style while embracing it. Whether it’s from your hair, shoes, or your art work. Fashion can be anything you want it to be.
3.Top 3 favorite brands or designers.
Uhhhhh that’s hard ! lol I love Yohji Yamamoto (y-3), Adidas opening ceremony and Isabel Marant.
4. Any major projects in the works?
There is definitely a lot in store for me! That includes a re-launch of my fashion blog & YouTube account. I also will be a Pavoe rep which I won’t give too many details on because it’s still in the works but you can definitely Google it to get an idea. I will be working with designer Ashley Chin for her line Vane for decades. I’m pretty much doing everything I can within the fashion field. So look out for me!

5. What do you hope to accomplish in your fashion career in the next 3 years? In the next 3 years, I plan on graduating with my bachelors in mass communications/Journalism, using that as an outlet to be a fashion journalist interning for Deco Drive in Miami or an intern for Seventeen magazine! Somehow, I will be well known.
6. Your dream place to work and why?
My dream job is to work with Seventeen magazine and have my own fashion column and style major celebrities because with these two things I can express my sense of style through different ways not just by dressing myself. I want to show my versatility in others. I want to inspire girls who are afraid to embrace their own style.

What are your favorite trends?
My favorite trend is the Kanye trend lol well that’s what I call it. So let me explain; the leather drop crotch pants, leather long tees, wearing all black and all white. Denim on top of denim. Reeboks &Nikes. I also love the plaid trends.
Hmmmmm that’s hard to answer too. A lot of things inspire me lol but, the life that I live is what inspires me the most. I’m not content in my lifestyle. My drive comes from the struggle and where I’m from which motivates me to become more of what others expect of themselves. I don’t want to live an ordinary life. I got to make it out!

1. Tell us a little about yourself.
I am Larissa Bruin, a psychotherapist turned stylist. On my blog I share my outfits, inspiration, and thoughts about fashion.
2. Where do you pull inspiration from for your OOTDs?
I find my inspiration in all kinds of things. This could be culture, nature, achitecture, politics. My brains are always set on fashion and every thought entering, gets mingled with it.
3. Did you know much about blogging when you started? How did you get started in the blogging world?
When I started blogging, I knew nothing. I had seen some other fashion blogs which I liked and they inspired me on how to get started. It took a while before I decided that I wanted to blog seriously, structurally. I think that the help & support of my (ex)boyfriend and father who photographed me has helped me out to continue doing it.
4. Who are some of your favorite bloggers?
My favourite bloggers, amongst others, are
Ashley Madekwe (http://ashley-ringmybell. blogspot.nl/),
Aimee Song (http://songofstyle.blogspot. nl/),
5. How would you describe the fashion differences between your homeland and the USA?
I think that fashion in The Netherlands doesn't always get the attention it deserves. I furthermore know that the typical Dutch style is modest and somewhat conservative. I find it hard to define the difference with the USA, cause I think there is also a difference between LA & NY for example, with LA being more minimalistic and NY being more urban. Excuse me if I'm wrong. My overall answer would have to be that Dutch fashion is more simplistic.
6. Top 5 favorite places to shop.
1. Asos
2. River Island
3. Topshop
4. Chicwish
5. Vintage (markets or boutiques)
7. What else do you enjoy doing when you're free from blogging?
I love to travel; city trips or tropical hotspots are my favourite. I the end I am just a life-lover, and I like to have a good time with friends & family; going out, shopping, going to the movies, acting crazy, dancing, singing, la la la.
8. Has anything unexpected came from having your blog, such as sponsorship, collaborations, etc.?
Nowadays, I have a lot of collaborations and sponsorship running. It amazes me sometimes, looking at all the great things coming from having a blog. It's a lot of hard work, but it's definitely worth it. The events and getting to meet inspiring co-bloggers is simply great.
9. Describe your blog's aesthetic that makes it stand out from other blogs.
This is a hard question. I just do what I love and I wear what I love the way I love it. I think every blog is different, if only it's because it's personal; personal style, personal thoughts. I always try to stay true to myself and I would love to keep the distance between me and my readers as small as possible.
10. Any encouraging words for the readers?
If you have a blog, and you really love doing it, you should not give up. Most important is that you never lose the pleasure of blogging. Good luck!

1. What is the concept behind your blogs title "Pretty Haute"?
Honestly, I started calling myself Pretty Haute when I created a MySpace profile back in 2007. Then when people I did not personally saw me out in public, they would always refer to me as Pretty Haute. It was a name that just stuck with me.
2. Where do you pull inspiration from?
Omg, from everywhere. Besides Pinterest, I'm an avid Bloglovin viewer. I follow a lot of Street Fashion Blogs for inspiration.
3. Do you have an, alter ego when you're doing photo-shoots?
I'm pretty anal when it comes to styling so maybe I do, I just need to figure out what's her name. Lol
4. What's an average day like for you?
Wow, my friends believe I'm a workaholic, which I am! There's just not many hours in the day. Because I am a single mother with a full time job it never feels like there's enough hours in a day. Even though i work from home, my job alone takes 8-12 hours of my day.An average starts at 5 a.m.-7 a.m (when I'm working overtime) a little before 7, my daughter is dropped to the bus stop. During breaks and lunch I'm on Bloglovin getting inspiration for my next post or creating a new blog post and sharing it on all my social accounts. Around 3:30 I'm getting ready for an hour workout. By 5:30 I pick my daughter up from the bus stop. If I'm working a 12 hr shift I will complete the last 2 hours. I try to prepare my weekly dinner on Sundays so I don't have to cook during the week. After going over homework, cleaning up and taking a shower, I would dedicate time to checking out other blogs, responding to emails, tweeting and creating another post. By the time I'm done with that its about 11 p.m or midnight.
5. Favorite beauty goodies right now?
I just did a beauty post about L'oreal True Match Foundation. The first beauty product I purchased from a drugstore and I absolutely love it.
6. Three things you can't live without?
Faux lashes, Clarisonic & iPhone.I know you said 3 but I can't live without groomed eyebrows lol.
7. What made you get into fashion?
A classmate of mines showed me a fashion illustration of her prom dress, I was stunned how she could make a sketch come to life. I thought this was something I can do, so I went to school for Fashion Design. While in school, my freshman year, I would sale denim that i would hand paint. I started selling them to friends, then to strangers and as consignment to boutiques. My mother noticed how ambitious I was and fronted me $10,000 to open my own clothing store. At the age if 18, I was the owner of a trendy boutique. Be'l Tifi boutique was opened for 5 years. During that time I created long term relationships with my customers. I became a personal shopper, buyer, and stylist. It was at that moment I knew styling was fashion consulting was my passion.
8. Favorite bloggers/stylists?
Karla's Closet is my favorite blogger. I never knew what a fashion blogger was until I stumbled on her page. She inspired me to start my blog.
9. Places you love to shop?
I'm an avid online shopper. My favorite online stores are Asos and Topshop. I also love finding unique treasures from vintage and thrift stores. When I do decide to shop in the malls, you'll most likely find me in Zara and H&M.
10. Where do you see your career in the next 3yrs?
In 3 years I hope to be the owner of a successful trendy boutique. Be acknowledge by my peers as a successful blogger and fashion stylist. I just want to wake up everyday doing what I love to do, getting paid would just be a bonus.
11. Any encouraging words for other aspiring bloggers/stylists?
Yes, if styling and blogging is truly a passion you have, then be proactive. Do your research, network and most importantly be optimistic. This career requires a lot of patience, consistency and determination. I read a quote yesterday that stuck with me. "One of the greatest skill sets you can have is hunger, you have to be hungry"
