The Good Life Hair Company: Peruvian Loose Wave Initial Review

12:19 AM

Hey loves! Long time no hear ehhh...well sorry for being MIA! I just recently became a mom :)

Anywho, I want to tell you frugal beauties about this hair company I discovered on IG a couple weeks ago. The company is called The Good Life Hair Company. It is a US hair company with an office located in Detroit! The company sells 100% Virgin hair in different hair origins such as Brazilian, Malaysian, Indian, Eurasian and Peruvian. The textures can be anywhere from body wave to kinky curly. They most def have your hair needs and the pricing is very affordable. Take my word for it! Being a college student you tend to find any way splurge the little money YOU DO HAVE!

So about shipping, I put in my order on a Tuesday and by that Saturday my order was here even though the site said 7 days for shipping. It can by regular postal services. I tore into the package and found nice thick, luxurious loose wave hair! I ordered 14,16,18 inch bundle set w/o a closure in Peruvian loose wave. The company does offer bundle deals with a closure, but I opted out for that deal.

The hair came packaged like this!

Now of course when you receive hair, especially human hair you should wash/condition it. I did this with my Tresseme Naturals Shampoo and conditioner. I also used some argan oil conditioner to further deep condition the hair. It was like super putty in my hands! I could run my hands through and get no tangle and a minimum f 1-2 stands for shedding.

I didn't instantly install the hair. Today makes my fourth day of wearing the hair. I did a self-install. A partial sew-in using the flip over method because I didn't want to cut my wefts and run the risk of measuring my head wrong :(. The sew-in can to be a pretty tedious task especially having to look after a newborn, while trying to double knot your hair.

Since I am natural, I washed my hair making sure to cleanse my scalp well and later add moisture back to it. The products I used were:

*Shea Moisture Shampoo
*Moroccan Argan Oil Conditioner
*As I AM Leave in Conditioner

I used a funky yet, simple braiding pattern.

The hair has pros and cons.

The Pros
-Fast shipping
-Minimal shedding
-Nice smelling
-Soft
-No tangle
-Thick bundles
-True to length
-Holds curls nicely

The Cons
-Gray/Silver strands (1-3)
-No clear labeling on the length of hair in packaging

Overall, the company lives of to their name and motto. Here is a picture of the install after I have styled it. I would recommend this company because of the fast shipping, great customer service, and the quality of the hair you get for the price.
